What's the Difference Between an Electric Diffuser and a Reed Diffuser?

There are several types of fragrance diffusers: electric diffusers, mist diffusers, and reed diffusers. Beyond the method of fragrance diffusion, there are other differences between them. Don't worry, we’ll explain everything here:

An electric diffuser is an automated solution to perfume your home. It needs to be plugged into an electrical outlet permanently. At Panier des Sens, we do not recommend these diffusers for economic reasons, but primarily for ecological ones.

A mist diffuser delicately disperses a fragrance in a room using its technology. It is equipped with an ultrasonic probe that generates a fine mist, spreading the scent into the air. 

This probe, fitted with a ceramic membrane, transforms water into mist. However, it is quite fragile: for this device to work properly, neither pure demineralized water nor overly hard water should be used!

Why Choose a Reed Diffuser?

This type of diffuser, also known as a scented bouquet, consists of rattan sticks placed in a glass container. Once the fragrance is poured into the bottle, the rattan sticks are inserted and soak up the scent. This is a natural and subtle way to diffuse a fragrance over several weeks.

Unlike a candle, which releases scent when burned, the fragrance diffuser fills the room continuously for up to 6 months, thanks to the wooden rattan sticks. The scent is diffused through capillary action: the fragrance from the bottle rises through the rattan sticks and disperses into the air. This natural process gently releases the fragrance of Cotton Flower to create a relaxing atmosphere.

NATURALITY

Composed of 90% natural ingredients, our home diffusers are respectful of both consumers and the environment.

Its case and reinforced insert are made from FSC-certified paper from sustainably managed forests. The glass is refillable and reusable: give it a second life with our universal refills, or reuse the glass as a vase, candle holder, or however you choose.

How do I use the Neroli fragrance diffuser? 

To release the sweet scent of Neroli, simply open the glass bottle and insert the rattan stems. The bottle's capacity has been designed to diffuse the Neroli fragrance for several months. To refill your fragrance diffuser, take your universal refill with you: using a funnel, gently fill the bottle.

How long does the fragrance last? 

The Néroli diffuser is designed to scent your room for 6 months. This period may vary, depending on external factors such as air conditioners, dehumidifiers, open doors and windows, which may interfere with fragrance diffusion, and the number of burp cloths used. The intensity of the fragrance can be adjusted to suit your needs: using only part of the stems for a more subtle diffusion, or turning the stems upside down for a more intense diffusion. For the first 48 hours, we recommend you turn the rattan sticks over every day, then once a week.

When should I change my rattan sticks? 

Our rattan sticks are designed to guarantee fragrance diffusion for the entire life of the product. Rattan may discolor over time. This is not a sign of wear and tear, and in no way affects diffusion! To relaunch diffusion after a few weeks' use, we recommend turning the sticks upside down. 

 How long can I leave the diffuser in a room? 

As long as you like, although we recommend that you don't forget to air your room daily if you can. 

Where to place your home fragrance diffuser? 

To scent a room, place the fragrance diffuser in a room less than 20 m2 in size. Scenting the kitchen or toilet to prevent unpleasant odors becomes child's play! Rotins have the advantage of diffusing fragrance continuously, so your room will be scented day and night. The Neroli home fragrance diffuser is very popular in living areas such as dining rooms and bedrooms, where its delicate fragrance creates a warm atmosphere in just a few minutes. 

Do I need to put all the burps in the fragrance diffuser? 

No. Once placed in the bottle, the rods absorb the fragrance, releasing it for continuous diffusion. The intensity of the fragrance can be adjusted to suit your mood. Use only part of the stems for a more subtle diffusion, or turn the stems upside down for a more intense diffusion.
